New Product Development

Part of team to developed a drive system for 240 and 400 ton trucks.  Prepared manuals to inspect and assemble new wheel drives systems. Patent Pending “Rimless Hub”

 

Project Manager

Start up of new equipment that included 11 - 240 ton trucks and one 44.5 yd3 shovel.  This project was a MARC

 

Director of Quality

Responsibilities included overseeing daily Quality Control operation of a manufacturing facility.  Team Leader for developing an ISO-9000 Quality system. 

Team Leader for developing a manufacturing system of trucks in modules, so that production levels could go to one (1) truck / day.

 

Sales Engineer

Prepared product sales training material and publications.  Responsibilities included running computer simulated haul studies and field weight studies.  Prepared and assisted area sales managers with sales presentations to Dealers and Customers.  Developed a monthly news letter to inform all sales personnel of new equipment sales or product changes.

 

District Manager                 

District covered Utah, Wyoming, Colorado and Montana.  Had responsibility of after sales service in district, along with organizing and managing a rebuild center at Lark, UT.  Organized and implemented effective programs for complete truck and component tear-down, inspection and rebuild.  Duties included estimating of truck overhaul and forecasting of spare parts.  Managed 5 supervisory personnel, 45 shop personnel and 4 field service representatives.

 

Service Advisor

Co-coordinated with local Dealer the assembly of new equipment, start-up, testing and deliver to customer.  Provide main contact between Customer, Dealer and Company, working closely with mining engineers and design engineers to assure the best utilization of equipment.

Start up of new branch operation.  Responsibilities included making new contacts with customers in search of sales for new equipment.  Set up warehouse for new, rebuilt and used parts and components.

 

 

Marathon LeTourneau Company Longview, TX

Rebuild Manager- Mining Equipment

Coordinate the repair and rebuild of major components and electrical traction motors manufactured by Company for off-highway vehicles.  This position provided the main contact between the Company and rebuild facilities located in Australia, Chile, Canada and South Africa.  Responsibilities include organizing effective repair programs to assure repairs are accomplished to the Company standards and within warranty policies.

                Senior Supervisor – Maintenance Training

Supervised ten national engineers with responsibility of developing hands-on training programs required to meet the needs of the maintenance departments 1400 personnel.  Organized work schedules and training deadlines.  Stressed proper maintenance of equipment resulting in higher equipment availability.

 

Reliance Electric                (Exxon Affiliate)                 Tulsa, OK

                Sales Specialist

Sold electric drive systems used on off-highway vehicles to the user customer.  Coordinated requirements with vehicle manufactures until vehicles were operational.  This position provided the main contact between the company and the user customer.  Demonstrated products to the customer, investigated complaints and recommended methods of correction.  Worked closely with marketing, engineering, purchasing and manufacturing to  contribute to the achievement of Company profit goals through sale of products at highest competitive price.
